One of my 7th grade students created this design. She drew the design with pencil first and then traced it with glue. After the glue was dry she painted it with watercolors. You could also do this technique with a white crayon, or oil pastel. I have even seen it done with black glue. (add black acrylic paint to a container of glue) It creates a stained glass effect. My student wished afterward that she had either not drawn the lines in pencil or at least lightened them before gluing.
